The certification confirms that Netpak Phils., Inc. has established and maintains a Quality Management System (QMS) that meets the requirements of ISO 15378:2017, the international standard specifically developed for manufacturers of primary packaging materials for medicinal products.
ISO 15378:2017 is the pharmaceutical packaging industry’s most stringent quality benchmark. Built on the foundation of ISO 9001 and incorporating the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines of the International Council for Harmonization (ICH), it governs every stage of the primary packaging material supply chain, from raw material controls and production processes to traceability, contamination prevention, and product release procedures. Certification under this standard is increasingly required by multinational pharmaceutical manufacturers as a prerequisite for supplier qualification and procurement approval.
For Netpak Phils., Inc., which has supplied packaging solutions to the Philippine pharmaceutical sector since 1992 and to the cosmetic industry since 2006, the certification validates the operational rigor that underpins its product range. The company manufactures aluminum Roll-On Pilfer Proof (ROPP) caps, aluminum collapsible tubes, eyedropper bottles, and pharmaceutical-grade plastic bottles and jars at its production facility in Trece Martires City, Cavite. The GQS audit was conducted through a structured two-stage process. Stage one covered a comprehensive documentation review of Netpak’s quality management framework, including its GMP procedures, risk management documentation, material specifications, and traceability controls. Stage two involved a full on-site conformity audit at the Cavite manufacturing facility, assessing process controls, equipment qualification, personnel training records, batch documentation, and customer complaint handling against the requirements of ISO 15378:2017. Netpak Phils., Inc. successfully completed both audit stages.
