The certification confirms that Envirocycle Philippines Inc. has established and maintains a structured Environmental Management System (EMS) that meets the international requirements of ISO 14001:2015, the globally recognized standard for environmental governance, compliance, and continual improvement.
ISO 14001:2015 sets the framework for organizations to identify, manage, and reduce the environmental impact of their operations. Certification requires organizations to conduct a comprehensive assessment of environmental aspects and impacts, establish measurable environmental objectives, implement operational controls to minimize pollution and resource consumption, and demonstrate a commitment to legal compliance and ongoing performance improvement.
For Envirocycle Philippines Inc., a DENR-accredited Treatment, Storage and Disposal (TSD) Facility and the Philippines’ only full-service environmental processor of electronic waste, the certification carries particular operational significance. The company handles a broad range of hazardous and electronic waste streams including CRTs, busted fluorescent lamps, used lead-acid batteries, ink toners and cartridges, used oil, and contaminated containers. Managing these materials requires rigorous environmental controls, and ISO 14001:2015 provides an internationally benchmarked framework to govern this management systematically.
The GQS audit team conducted a two-stage certification process. Stage one assessed Envirocycle Philippines Inc.’s environmental policy documentation, legal register, aspect and impact register, and overall EMS readiness. Stage two involved a full conformity audit across the company’s operational facilities, verifying that environmental controls were effectively implemented, monitored, and maintained in line with ISO 14001:2015 requirements. The organization successfully completed both stages without major nonconformities.

The certification is valid for three years, subject to annual surveillance audits by GQS to verify ongoing conformance and continual improvement of the EMS.
